Summer Flower Study 2

$85.00

I don’t get ice cream very often, so when I do, I put an unreasonable amount of pressure on myself to choose the right flavor.

In a crowded ice cream parlor in the middle of New York City, the line moved quickly, and in the deep summer heat, I wasn’t craving my usual chocolate.

The closer I got to the counter, the less sure I became, so I ordered pistachio ice cream without even tasting it.

It surprised me how much I loved it.

Now it’s the flavor I order every time.

An original watercolor inspired by the colors and shapes of summer.

Painted by hand on paper, this piece is part of an ongoing study of seasonal flowers and the quiet beauty they bring for a short time each year.

This painting is 6”x 6” and comes in a white mat 8”x 8”.

Standard sizes make it easy to pop right into a frame and up onto your wall in no time.
