My first visit to a Blue Zone was in Nosara, Costa Rica. On the Nicoya Peninsula. One of the rare places on earth where people live exceptionally long lives. I paid attention to the food, the pace, the movement, the sunlight. The way a simple meal could feel sacred. I brought that feeling home with me. And still, somewhere between habit and survival, I forget. So now I’ve got my eye on another Blue Zone. This time, in the Mediterranean.
