So I have this art coach. She’s empowering, authentic, and forever reminding us to trust ourselves. She’s built a community of artists who genuinely learn and lean on each other. This morning on my break. I laid down in my classroom. Turned off the lights. Closed the door. I felt the guilt creep in: You should be doing more. But I shut my eyes anyway. I chose rest. Not because I earned it, but because I needed it. And every time I pause. Say no. Or listen to my limits. I hope to set a small example in a big, busy world.
