I send an email every week to share a little about each piece and the story behind why I make what I make.

I’ll never share your contact information.

Thank you!

So I have this art coach. She’s empowering, authentic, and forever reminding us to trust ourselves. She’s built a community of artists who genuinely learn and lean on each other. I shout her out to anyone who will listen—not just because she hands out prizes (though I did win a pretty sweet travel thermos). Which means my art shows are now fueled by caffeine and community. Thanks Teresa, I appreciate you! I’m at Ludwig’s Corner with the most amazing artists, bakers, soap makers, and pure maple syrup from Woodstock Vermont. You’re going to wanna stop by this one 🍁 10-5pm today and tomorrow. @teresahaag.coach @rosesquared #ImTheArtist #IYKYK #ArtCoach

Both shows are filled with inspiring artists, and I’d love for you to come by and see the work! ✨Since I can’t be in two places at once, I’ll count on you to help me cover some ground. This morning on my break.

I laid down in my classroom.

Turned off the lights. Closed the door.

I felt the guilt creep in: You should be doing more.

But I shut my eyes anyway. I chose rest.

Not because I earned it, but because I needed it.

Not because I earned it, but because I needed it. And every time I pause. Say no. Or listen to my limits. I hope to set a small example in a big, busy world. Where self-respect, not exhaustion, becomes the norm. AUDACITY watercolor, 5x7 available @ https://emilyknabbart.squarespace.com/shopart-Mb2V2/p/audacity This little gem will be joining the Little Luxuries Art Show at Main Line Art Center opening this weekend. This show celebrates small-scale works, each piece 10”x10” or smaller. It's fun to find little treasures that make you slow down to appreciate the small details. This is the type of art that changes the rhythm of my days — lifting my mood, transforming my mind, and stopping me in my tracks. The show is up and open from September 12 – October 25.
