Summer Flower Study 1

$85.00

I teach color theory, how colors relate to each other and what happens when they mix.

Every morning, I walk into school feeling like a bright, steady yellow.

Then my students arrive with their own colors, moods, needs, and stories, and all day long we mix.

I give pieces of myself away, carry pieces of them home, and by the afternoon I’m a completely different color.

Sometimes I love it, and sometimes it takes me a while to remember which color is mine.

An original watercolor inspired by the colors and shapes of summer.

Painted by hand on paper, this piece is part of an ongoing study of seasonal flowers and the quiet beauty they bring for a short time each year.

This painting is 6”x 6” and comes in a white mat 8”x 8”.

Standard sizes make it easy to pop right into a frame and up onto your wall in no time.
