Mistakes

Hindsight feels like a gift.

But it’s also a little shaming.

If I hadn’t ignored that red flag.

Or just listened to my gut.

Where would I be now?

My mind persuades that I'd be happier.

Or wealthier.

Maybe healthier.

But it doesn’t factor in love.

Would I feel more loved had I taken a different path?

I’m not sure.

But at least my mistakes somehow led me near you.
