I’m a completely different human in the morning than I am by the end of the day.
If my AM and PM art students ever compared notes, I’m not sure they’d recognize the same teacher.
The morning crowd gets my fire and focus.
My burning desire to get it right.
To go the extra mile.
To save the day.
And the lesson plan.
I’m truly not a morning person.
But after years of early bird art lectures, my cortisol never lets me down.
And maybe that’s the trouble.
The morning version of me burns so precisely and so brightly that she rarely thinks about what she’s leaving for the person who has to live the rest of the day.
