Thereβs more I want to do.
And even more I want to grow into.
I want to sweat while tending a garden thatβs a little too big.
Wipe pollen off a stone porch and call it home.
Be interrupted by ten dogs who all need something at once.
I want to carry firewood out back.
Roast blistered tomatoes over an open flame.
Layer them with burrata and peaches.
And call it a snack.
I want sore legs from hiking Mount Rainier.
To stretch on the floor while the sun goes down.
I want to live in a tiny flat in Italy long enough to have a routine.
Even if it doesnβt have air conditioning or a proper washer.
I want to stumble into a cozy cafΓ© where no one can find me.
And waste the day dreaming up more things I might want.
So that when Iβm painting in the studio, they all feel possible.
πΏ Hibiscus blooms are bold and brief.
Dried tea leaves relax the system and soften the heart.
It reminds me that longing isn't a void.
Itβs proof Iβm still alive.
