On the surface, my work studies hands. But beneath watercolor layers are memories. Emotion. And the quiet strength we carry through struggle. Painting hands are how I process living with multiple autoimmune diseases, including Raynaud’s and Scleroderma. Something that makes painting WITH my hands a daily challenge. That's why this fall I’m honored to have my work included in the 30th Annual Art Ability Show at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital. A powerful exhibition showcasing over 400 pieces of art by creatives living with chronic illness and different-abilities. It’s a show about advocacy, healing, and what it means to keep creating even when the body resists. If you're local, I’d love for you to experience it. Because we are all carrying a heavy burden. And the only thing we get to choose is how we carry it. What to expect: - fine art, sculpture, jewelry - stories of illness and endurance - a 12-week celebration of art as medicine, memory, and connection. 📍 Where: Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital, 414 Paoli Pike, Malvern, PA 🎉 When: Opening Night: Sat, Nov 8 — Preview Reception 5–7:30pm; Dinner + Auction 7–10pm 🗓️ Show: Nov 9 – Feb 1, 2026 — Free & open to the public 🧭 Plan Your Visit: https://www.mainlinehealth.org/specialties/rehabilitation/rehab-art-ability 🌿 My Paintings: Permission To Desire and Bloom were accepted into the show. Read the stories behind them here: https://emilyknabbart.squarespace.com/config/pages #ArtAbility #ArtAsMedicine #SclerodermaAwareness #MalvernPA

Saturdays are for doing. The errands that didn’t happen during the week. Cooking. Cleaning. Organizing. Unpacking and re-packing work bags. And gym bags. And lunch bags. So many bags. Most weekends, I move from one list to the next. But sometimes if I'm lucky, I get ahead. So when I bump into you in the kitchen. My mind is quiet enough to notice you. So I remember it's first time I've really seen you since last Saturday. And it feels like a homecoming. SATURDAY Original Watercolor, 8"x10" Available at The Art Trust's GIFTED art show in downtown West Chester.
