I've spent a great deal of time calling health professionals.

Scheduling appointments on calendars.

Waiting for test results from expensive labs.

Each session left me more exposed than the one before it.

More hopeful that this time I would gain answers.

I couldn't help my hands from finding each other.

Hoping.

Praying.

Meditating.

My hands were carrying my wishes.

Something so precious it had to be physically held.

I'm so glad I didn't give up in the waiting room.
