Tomatoes - Print NEW

We used to grocery shop together on Saturday mornings.

And in the produce section, you always drifted toward the tomatoes.

The little ones, still on the vine.

No matter what we were talking about, you'd grab a bunch, hold them under my nose, and tell me to sniff.

The garden-fresh scent still clinging from the farm stand.

Somehow, in the middle of a grocery store and a list of things to do, you made me laugh—with tomatoes.

And I could already picture you someday.

Barefoot in our backyard.

Tending to tomato plants just outside the kitchen door.
