We spent a lot of time outside when I was little.
I didn’t appreciate it enough at the time.
My favorite time of day was dusk.
And we’d run around barefoot in the grass catching fireflies—
the ones that light up like Christmas lights in the summer.
I don’t know what I loved more:
feeling the barely cold grass beneath my feet,
or announcing “I caught one!” every ten seconds.
🌿 Bluebells bloom in soft, hidden places.
They are associated with remembrance and fleeting beauty.
A realization that something was precious only after it’s passed.
